Health and safety is embedded within the core of our activities throughout our regional branches and operational sites.
We are committed to and consider the health, safety and welfare of all who work for us, or who come into contact with either our operations or premises, to be of prime importance.
To ensure legal compliance, we have developed and implemented an integrated health, safety and environmental management system compliant with BS OHSAS 18001:2007 and ISO 14001:2004. The management system is certified by ISOQAR, a UKAS accredited Certification Company.
As well as the above externally audited certifications, each branch in the Avonside Group is also certified with CHAS, SMAS, Safecontractor and Constructionline.
The responsibilities placed on both employers and employees under The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, and other statutory instruments, are incorporated within our policies and procedures.
We invest significantly in our people in terms of HSE and vocational training to ensure that we have a competent workforce with the ability to deliver our products and services without risk to the well-being of our stakeholders.
Our HSE policy and standards are monitored, reviewed and updated to accommodate changes in legislation, work methods and innovations in order to continuously improve our management system as we strive for excellence within our industry.
